REGINA, Saskatchewan — The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League have signed quarterback Colt Brennan.

Brennan played for the University of Hawaii and was a 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist. The 28-year-old was drafted by the NFL’s Washington Redskins in 2008, spent the next season on injured reserve with a hamstring and hip injury, and was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2010 before being released.

The 6-foot-3, 207-pound Brennan set several major college records, including most touchdowns in a season with 58.

The Roughriders on Tuesday also signed quarterback Drew Willy, who spent time with four NFL teams and one season with the UFL’s Las Vegas Locomotives.
